I am Momma C. I am a soon to be 22-year-old graduate student. I was married on New Years Eve of 2009 and have a 10 month old daughter named Adiana (or Adi or Blueberry). I am a co-sleeping, Dr. Sears following, high-heel wearing, neo-feminist, Catholic, liberal, democratic socialist. I wrote my thesis for my honors degree on the hegemony of Disney's princess franchise. As a neo-feminist I believe in choice. I believe that a woman shouldn't be forced into a role but I do believe that a woman has the right to be a stay-at-home mother IF SHE CHOOSES SO!
Though this experiment is my idea and sole project, my husband is also involved in well my life and therefore is worth a mention. My husband Daddy C. (Doug) is the love of my life and the other half of my spirit.
We met at the All Saints Catholic Newman Center at ASU. I was working there when Doug became our music intern. We were friends first (Doug was engaged to someone else when we met) but when we were both single the sparks just started to fly.
Within 3 months of dating we found out I was pregnant. We got engaged, moved in together in the summer, had our daughter in October and got married in December.
It's been a crazy couple years but our love has grown stronger throughout it all. Daddy C is my best friend, husband, lover, father of my child, and my other half. He's currently the breadwinner of our family. And I am so thankful for all his help with my experiment.
If it weren't for him, I wouldn't survive.
